How to Measure Yourself for Custom Leather: A Guide to Getting It Right

How to Measure Yourself for Custom Leather: A Guide to Getting It Right

by Matthew Rumer

Let's be clear: custom leather isn't off-the-rack. It's not guesswork. It's precision—a piece crafted specifically for your body, your intentions, your fit. And that fit starts with you, a measuring tape, and the willingness to know yourself.

This isn't about vanity metrics or fitting into someone else's idea of size. It's about owning your measurements the same way you own your presence. When you wear custom leather from The Den Code, you're wearing something that was made for you—and that requires honesty, accuracy, and a little patience.

Why Accurate Measurements Matter

A cock ring that's too loose is a suggestion. One that's too tight is a problem. A harness that gaps at the chest loses its power. One that digs in loses its appeal. The difference between leather that works and leather that works for you comes down to millimeters.

We're not here to sell you something that almost fits. We're here to build something that becomes part of you—an extension of your body, your confidence, your code.

So grab a flexible measuring tape (not the metal kind from your toolbox), find a mirror, and let's get to work.

Measuring for Cock Rings & Ball Rings

This is intimate work. Do it in private, do it honestly, and do it in both states—hard and soft. Your body changes, and your leather needs to account for that.

THE ALL AROUND

What it is: The full loop measurement—starting at the top of your pubic bone, going down and behind your balls, and coming back up to where you started.

How to measure:

  1. Stand in front of a mirror
  2. 2. Place the tape at the top of your pubic bone (where your shaft meets your body)
  3. 3. Run the tape down, underneath and behind your balls
  4. 4. Bring it back up to the starting point
  5. 5. Record the measurement with two fingers of slack

Why it matters: This is your foundation measurement for any cock ring that wraps the full package. Too tight and you'll cut off circulation. Too loose and it won't do its job.

THE GUYS (Scrotum)

What it is: Two measurements—the circumference around the base of your scrotum, and the length from behind your balls to the base.

How to measure:

Circumference: Wrap the tape around the base of your scrotum (where it connects to your body). Snug but not strangling.

Length: Measure from directly behind your balls to the point where your scrotum meets your body in front.

Why it matters: Ball rings need to sit right. This tells us how much leather to use and where to place the closure.

THE SHAFT

What it is: Girth and length measurements—and yes, we need both hard and soft.

How to measure:

Girth (Circumference): Wrap the tape around your shaft at the base, middle, and tip. If they're significantly different, note all three.

Length: Measure from the base (where shaft meets body) to the tip.

Do this twice: Once soft. Once hard. Write both down.

Why it matters: Leather that fits when you're soft
